This Week

It’s that time of year: the novelty of New Year worn off and Christmas season a dim memory, it’s around now that we tend to really look ahead to the challenges, fears and hopes of the year ahead.

Not a bad time, then, to look again at the story of Joshua and the Israelites as they stood on the banks of the Jordan river, threshold of the land that held their future – or so they hoped. There was every excuse for trepidation: a raging torrent to cross, a country filled with warlike giants in fortified cities, and a somewhat dubious track record when it came to bravery or obedience.

It’s not unusual at the start of a new season to feel a similar mix of hope and anxiety, and there’s plenty we can learn from their experience, albeit some 3300 years ago in a faraway place; God hasn’t changed, and neither has human nature.

All that and communion too! Join us this Sunday, 1st February, at 10:30am.  St Andrews Church, High St, Auchterarder PH3 1BN, or via Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7209731710

Wednesday Evening

Our midweek Wednesday evening Zoom gathering is back after Christmas, and we’re starting a new series – on Philippians. Every Wednesday evening at 8pm, from 6th January onwards. It’s a chance to catch up, learn together, share our news, and pray. Everybody welcome!
